Bellingham. The series takes place on the last Sunday of each month, February through May and September through November, at 4:00 pm, and features solo, duo, trio, and quartet performances by Northwest Regional players from Vancouver to Portland. The Art of Jazz Series is underwritten in part by the Washington State Arts Commission and the City of Bellingham Lodging Tax Fund.

Tuesday Night Boundary Bay Jazz Jam:
Hosted by The Jazz Project
Join Jud Sherwood of The Jazz Project for Bellingham's only jazz jam session, 8:30-11:30 on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month in the taproom at Boundary Bay. A rotating cast of house trios will be on hand to lead their own groups and back up players who want to sit in. For a list of who's playing go to the calendar on the sidebar.
Underwriting projects and program services include the Bellingham Youth Jazz Band, the Medical Fund, the Scholarship Lesson Fund and the Piano Liberation Organization which has placed 105 pianos and is looking forward to receiving piano and instrument donations to pass on to children and families in need.
Funding for these programs comes primarily from members like you. For the past ten concert seasons member donations have provided the lion's share of the annual budget, while corporate, foundation, and arts grants provide the balance of our funding needs. With that in mind, I encourage you to look over our exciting mix of jazz projects for 2012 and invest in making jazz accessible and affordable to all. You may order tickets and make donations on-line through the Jazz Project Store link.
Thank you for supporting live music and living musicians.
Jud Sherwood
